Raised in the province of Bohol, Ray grew up surrounded by the quiet richness of island life. The ocean, the sun, and the everyday textures of the tropics shaped her early sense of beauty long before she understood it as inspiration.
Her approach to fashion has always been instinctive, with a natural pull toward color, prints, and pieces that feel expressive and alive. During her college years, she started Sinag as a fun passion project, originally just to avoid doing an internship, but it slowly became something more.
She began at SoFA Design Institute, studying fashion design and earning a certificate in Fashion Styling, before shifting paths and completing a degree in Communications, majoring in Integrated Marketing Communications. It was there she learned how to turn creative instinct into something more intentional.
Her perspective later expanded in Florence at Polimoda, where she pursued a master’s in Creative Direction. Though brief, the experience sharpened her eye and grounded her aesthetic in a more global, editorial lens.
Now based in Manila, she moves between the province that raised her and the city that continues to shape her. She is drawn to pieces that feel personal, easy, and full of character.
Sinag reflects this balance of play and intention. A space for prints, color, and storytelling, shaped by her experiences and constantly evolving alongside them.
